hello freaks.. how have you all been? anyone still comes here for a night at band camp? haha..

i hope this year 2009 has been good for us so far, and that it will be a fruitful year ahead for us all. i'm glad that over the past year 2008, we have been meeting up often. we had faithfully set aside dates in our busy schedules (yes all of us here are busy women, 'nu qiang ren' if we like to think of it that way :P) to celebrate each other's 21sts (an impt milestone perhaps), and we even had our first ever christmas party together. it was indeed a heartwarming time as we exchanged our christmas notes (sorry, i only prepared chocolates..) and presents. let's hope that this year, we will continue to see our friendship grow stronger as we support each other in this walk of life together! personally, i hope to get to know each of you deeper and that if there are anything happening in your lives, do know that there's always someone who cares and do not hesitate to share yeah. we have been friends for almost a decade, and let's continue to see this friendship blossom! i hope to be of a better friend to those around me too.

so yes.. may this coming year be a year seeing each of us mature in character as we experience more things in life. like some of you who will be graduating this year and may be anxious about the current job market.. no matter what downs we may go through in life, do not give up :) sometimes, it's not about what happens to us in life, but it's more about how we respond to these things in life. so let's jiayou together, and let's support and encourage each other too! and at the end of it, we'll see friends who have been there for us not just through the happy giggly times, but also through the down times. and then we would be able to really sit down and laugh at those moments together, from the bottom of our hearts. it would be a beautiful celebration of friendship then ;)

(for once, i shall not call us freaks) haha, i read sherm's entry and i felt so touched! goodness, we met when we just turned 12. and now we're all 21! almost 9 years of friendships and yes we're more or less the same i'm glad to say... we must find one old old old photo and compare hahahahaha (but pls dont show any other ppl. bleah.)

anyway women! i'm glad to have grown up with you all. i have such cute and funny and sweet memories with each and everyone of you. you have all inspired me and taught me different lessons about life. all sorts of stories we have and all the things we go through together. we may be quite different individuals, but i'm glad we're always so happy and crazy as a group of friends.

hey freakzZzZz! can you believe it, in 2 hours' time we'll all be officially adults already!

at 16 we were wondering if we'll ever grow up, at 21 we're still convinced we havent changed... we've moved from singing band songs, to interrogating each other about boys during sleepovers, and now we're having serious talk about careers!
really glad that even though we've moved through life from one stage to another, when we come together we know it'll always be the same ol' time of poking fun at each other, laughing our fats off, entertaining ourselves with anything and everything, enjoying each other's company.

hey freaks! guess what, september 2008 is when our blog celebrates its 2nd year anniversary. hahaha, okay that was a bit random. but anyway, here are the only 2 group photos from the pictures which my "official" event photographer gave to me. as he's from my uni course, most of his pictures were shots of my uni mates. heh. but it's ok, i know you girls had plenty of shots taken that day too, so thanks for those who uploaded onto facebook!

and acting like tourists EVERYWHERE we went.

hi dearest freaks,

enclosed are the pictures from all our bday celebs this year! so heres a brief recap. lol :)

bengggg's. we had tze char, and nice aunties giving mata warnings which set dabao running to her car in fear of gettin a summon. i think this photo is one of our nicest with EVERYONE in it!

amandaaaa's. at settlers, where we self entertained with not just the games but very special forfeits like han-tas and asking strangers whos birthday it was. and of cos, the very special amanda game. remember "sabo a freak"? how typical. :)

da baooooo's. we went to new york (new york) this time, as usual taking timer modes photographs and as usual qianyi is never appreciative of our love. i mean, look at her face there! tsk.

shermieeeee's. candlelight dinner alfresco style, at the Kensington Park. hurr. chomped down food from chomp chomp, and funny photographs to end the day. oh i remember the limbo rock to the cake thang. :)

carrrr's. aka, MINE :) we decided to go cheena style. doing weird things at starbucks or was it coffeeclub, making me wave retardedly to u all from the lift. how can i not love u guys, HUH!

joyceeee's. we decided to be cool and tried foie gras and have alcoholic drinks even. lol. after drafting lyrics to the joyce's song, we gave up. and in the end have some cool singers/dancers invite joyce up to dance with them. but all she did was clap and smile haha. it was pretty fun and exciting, wasnt it? :)

(i'm sorry i dont have rita's bday pics cos nobody sends to me) but anyway we had jap for once, (i dont know why we nv went jap b4!) and mingfang's handsome supervisor gave us alot of discount. maybe cos of the prev night they spent at the d&d? hee kidding la. we all know how lovey beng is with her joejoe. :)

and i so miss stayovers with you all too! playing retarded games, mahjong even. so when are we all next meeting? when does all exams end?

me & sherm end on the 30th. i'm flying on the 9th, back on 20th. and then flying on the 25th again, back on 30th.
so basically im free from 1-8dec, 21-24dec, 31dec.

i went malibu today.
the beach is gorgeous and water is freakin cold.
i din wanna get in but my friend attacked me and i fell ino the water. totally soaked after that

it was really fun. i learnt how to catch baby crabs from 2 young boys.

hello my babes blogger gave me the boot and i was too lazy to come back on but now that i see all the photos amanda's posting its really getting to me and I NEED TO SAY STH! amanda you lucky piece of shit hope u dun come back to sg and continue dreamin of the states cos seems like u're havin a really good time there but life here aint that fantastic but fantastic enough cos there's ME and the rest of them of course! argh i wanna go overseas too... im sad!
anyway ppl in case u dunno yet i got my business specialisation for yr 2 and 3... tourism and hospitality management. happy cos its my first choice, not happy cos i haven really been happy in the first place but will continue working towards being happy! err... yay!
anyways yesterday car and sherm and i met... but i stupidly came late so only managed to see sherm(who claims she has gained weight from the land of borat that's really very much like m'sia but i absolutely cannot tell the difference so she's obviously bullshitting) and look through her horse meat photos for like half an hour? so yeah.. im looking forward to monday!
car and i den went shopping where i had to be her makeshift boyfriend, wait for her outside the stupid crowded-as-hell-with-aunties trendy zone while she decides whether or not to get a pair of 10 dollar heels.. how dumb! and i had to carry her plastic bag and wait for her while she keeps going to the loo to err.. yes. and we went to meet this guy my pri sch classmate eng hao's sji classmate and it was a super weird affair! i swear i wont ever agree to go on such outings again it was super weird! and HE went shopping while we sat down and cam-whored.. how atrocious.
anyway ppl im just slacking my life away right now and playing keyboard everyday and reading and basically just wasting time hah! kinda dun want school to start and yet cant wait... nvm not impt..

this is Ralph Lauren. OMG! the interior is gorgeous
every room had it's own theme with exclusive deco
and furniture and accessories. even the entrance had it's own
green garden walkway. sigh.... the ultimate shopping experince.
even the dressig room was first class. do you noe the kids
changing room had like a sofa and a big fluffy teddy bear.
singapore's shopping is an embarrassment in comparison.

yesterday i just went shopping!!! i spent yet another hundred... u noe i think since i arrived in
US i think i spent like a thousand on shoppig already.... tsk tsk tsk
i am like sooooo broke but i still have like 3 major shopping area in LA!
oh i went to rodeo drive yesterday! OMG the shops there are like sooooooooo classy!
it's like the highest end of the high end. the entire place was lined with brands like
LV, Gucci, Versace, D&G etc. i entered some of the shops and Oh my goodness
the shops are like soooooo pretty!! the interior deco is gorgeous!!!! i managed to
secretly take photo of some which i will post up later.
i went into D&G and i fell in love with the shop. soo pretty!!!
movie stars supposedly shop there but sadly i din see any
oh but there were like soooo many tai tais!!! they were buying 2 thousand over dollars garments like
it's free. they each had like their own individual salesgirls to wait on them. then they sat on the
super luxurious and comfy sofas and ate free chips, fruits and drank champagne!!!
sigh..... the life of the rich is so shiok.
oh and all along the street there were Limos and fancy sport cars. sigh...
i felt so poor... i couldn't even afford to buy anything from there....

oh i must tell u all something!!
thurs i went to cut my hair at this salon in beverly hills district! it was soooo fun!
my hairdresser was a latino woman.
u noe in movies when pple go salons they usually spend hours there gossiping with their hairdresser
and be treated like VIPs? it was exactly like that!!! so fun!!!! hahahaha

its spelt KAZAKHSTAN carr. hahaha. anyway,
1. no one we met looks anything like borat. (its the first question ppl always ask me haha)
2. we met the beauty queen of the city! i think she kinda looks like the thai transvestite tt type.. pretty lah but not the prettiest i think. but VERY TALL haha.
3. i've learnt some russian!
4. its not a slump place! actually its somewhat like malaysia standard..
5. i ate ALOT..
6. ate HORSE meat with kway (as in the kway in kway chap)
7. drank HORSE milk!
8. we did many fun stuff during english lessons!
9. temperature ranged from 10deg to FORTY TWO deg..
10. i stayed above a pub.. our landlady owns the pub haha. so u can imagine what sort of music we have to endure at night.. but got used to it lah. slept on a queen size bed!
11. people can just come up and talk to you.. esp drunkards.
12. the place has the highest crime rate in the whole of kazakhstan
13. we took 4 flights there! singapore to KL to uzbekistan to almaty (another part of kz) then to the city we went to. (its a closed country so i cant tell u guys where exactly i went to cos its a mission trip)
14. the uzbek airlines stewardesses look and act like nannies tt kids hate.. old and grumpy!

hello people!
it's now 7pm and my friend and i are making dinner.
actually she is.. i'm blogging. hahha
i went to disneyland during the weekend! it was sooo fun!!!
my friend and i bought autograph books and went ard asking mickey mouse and gang for their
autographs and took pics! we dod that wih the princesses too!!
i saw snow white, cinderella , sleeping beauty, mulan and little mermaid.
i like sleeping beauty. she's very retty and nice. cinderella was cheeky and funny. i din like
snow white. she was weird.. and bitchy... haha

oh u noe wad?
we took the public bus from our sch to disneyland and we had to do a
transfer. OMG we had to like look for the transfer in some Ghetto.
it was so bloody scary. we were there at like 6 pm.
it was still bright but the sun was abt to set and as it got darker, the weirder the
pple appeared to be ard us. i was so bloody freaked out la!
the were sooooo many scary blacks! and latinos.
then at the busstop we had a show. opp us was a liquor store.
there was a policeman guarding the store. a black burly drunk man was dragged out and the
both big black guys started yelling at each other!!! then the drunken guy suddenly punched
the policeman! i heard the loud sickening thud. i was so terrified man.
oh well
that was an experience..

i'm typing this from work. from my anti-social cubicle in level 4 of suntec tower 4. today has been a boring day cos my mentor who is supposed to return from his study leave today is not here yet =( and so i'm bored to tears.. maybe i shall visit the pantry and toilet again to kill some time.. lol.

hi freaksss! i havent posted for so long cos blogger kicked me out for some reason haha. i didnt get the chance to blog about pre and during exams sian-ness and its now post exams! ok, it was one week ago but im still celebrating! haha. 1 year of uni life is over. so fast. i still feel like i just entered uni..

as car mentioned i'd be going to the land of borat from 28may to 26june :) the correct spelling of the place is kazakhstan haha. and car thanks for the "pocket money", yes haha dont worry that $5 will go a long way. now we're busy with preps- learning about their culture, what the students are like, what programs we'd be doing and all. very exciting :) i'd share more stories when i come back!

yup been some time since we last updated this website.. think everyone is busy these weeks with assignments due and tests. for me, i just had a japanese studies tutorial facilitation yesterday, where my group was supposed to lead a tutorial by generating questions. our tutor was away this week and we were told that another tutor would take over.. and guess what, our lecturer came into the room just then! we were so scared at first, cos this thing was graded, and somemore by the lecturer now.. but in the end, he helped us by asking some discussion questions and prompting the class, thereby filling in the ocassional awkward silences in the class. haha really thank God that it went quite well and the ppl were quite happy at the end cos we had a pop quiz and gave away free food. hahas food always makes ppl happy, doesn't it?

yup.. okay now i'm in sch comp lab with my friend. supp to be doing work here.. so yea, gotta go study soon! jiayou everyone during this stressful period.. hope everyone will cope well yea. miss hanging out with you guys lots :)

hello! im here to post the first entry of 2007.. yay haha happy new year dear freaks! oh and thanks car for the green christmas teddy and beng for the "to: shermaine & family" card :) last few days of hols for ntu and nus ppl. we missed going to settlers this time.. and our polka dot day too. we better go during the next THREE MONTH break okay!
today is like one of the few days i actually am sitting at home looking for things to do. just came back from camp a few days ago, which was like the most civilised camp i've ever been to! with my own room plus bed, hot water baths, no mass games, air con almost all day, and many many hours of sleep! 11pm-8am..haha.
oh amanda i cant watch your john tucker lehh! its saved in some funny file format that my comp cant read. dunno why also. i'll (try to remember to) bring it tmr to return to you.
car yes im glad i managed to talk to you that night too! even amidst the noises that beng was making, some things we just have to complain about right. hope you're doing well with your new 1month plan. and that through this time you'll really see what God's plan is for you two (or in your words, the so called "signs" haha). although we wont have the exact same timetable this sem, im sure we'll still see alot of each other around. together with ah lian the 4.5freak too..hah
anyway, grandmaster qian we'll finally be pitting our newfound mahjong skills against yours tomorrow. watch out for carlyn's 1 2 3 4 same colour flower that will kill you off straight away! but then again, with your mum the great grandmaster lurking around, we can never be too sure about it. haha. looking forward to marina steamboat also. there's gonna be full attendance like finally haha. time to catch up with everyone especially joyce who has been busy working and rita too! :)

okays i seriously haven been ard here often enough to see the entries grow! okays i suck as a fren and grandmaster for having to leave early that night but cant help it since i haven been too well of late and my caroling schedule is driving me nuts thank god tmr's the last day of all my caroling... oh wells carpig sure u took a hell long time to upload that hell of a msg but its great and thanks babes for writin us all a personal note... appreciate it loads.
anyways i'll be able to join u guys for the next gathering... hope we can adjourn our gathering after steamboat to jalan jarak again so u guys can pit ur newfound mahjong abilities against the grandmaster and hopefully possibly own me pawn me triple kill me wadever shit so i dun have to be under the consistent threat of having to treat u gluttons all to milo dinosaur at jalan kayu which we of course never really went to.. and also hope we can go to settlers again to have a good laugh...
this hols have been mad and hectic, and not exactly the happiest for me... apart from the fact that i do get a lot of personal time where i spend with my bed and tv and basically just being a couch potato and letting my skin turn fairer than even. so certainly hope to meet u guys soon enough to hang out and have a good laugh... running low on endorphins.
righters... gotta go sleep and hopefully have a good time caroling tmr.. to all u kids... merry xmas and happy lookin out for exam grades :P !!! yeaps be happy and smiless :):)

Dear people, next gathering would be steamboat dinner at Marina on 2Jan07 (Tue). Its a tentative date so any objections or suggestions PLS voice out okay? I want to see everyone of you before school starts! and its to celeb like the new year.. hahas damn fast n it'd be 07. which means our 8th year being friends :) you guys are the few of the few that stuck around for so long. so thank you all sweets.
and since its the eve of christmas eve, n since new year's about to come, i shall jus do a short dedication to everyone of u here :D

amanda- ah pui's owner. thanks for always being patient in listenin to my problems n always providin your hse (and now mahjong set too) for our stayovers :) ure one of the sweetest i know, who always bothered to msg us once in a while to mk sure we're all gd n also ask me out! i like it when ppl ask me out! hahas, anyways. yeah i love you babe n ur dvds! hehehs kiddin. n yes i'd return ur dvds on the next mtg my dear. n babe, know we're always here for u no matter what yupp! hugs*

hey girls.. joyce here :) just wanted to tell u girls that i wont be able to join all of u this stayover. really am sorry about it.. i wanted to join in but i'm working these days and tmr i gotta be in office to show my presentation to my mentor and supervisor cos tmr's the deadline. and i havent finished my work yet and it's gonna be 6pm soon! yea.. then i'll be packed for these 2 nights after work planning for a friend's birthday party on sunday so gotta meet up with ppl to do present tonight, and tmr i've a christmas gathering with church friends in the evening.. yeah, so sorry girls.. i'll make sure i meet up with u all the next time we gather yea..

yeap have fun tonight with mahjong and tmr with baking.. i'll miss all the fun though :(

im backkkk!! had lots of fun in goldcoast! sat on all the roller coasters except one cos the queue was too long haha i conquered the vertical drops and loops and upside down things! the beach was really nice too.. but shopping wasnt too good cos many things were qt ex.. anyway i should be free 18th to 20th..sentosa-cum-mahjong camp sounds good :) yes joyce we shall try to do some active activities this time round instead of sitting at bk and watching musical fountain. my fats are accumulating too haha the silly aerobics thing tt car and i went for was useless! eh amanda contact us when u get back then can confirm things. yep. bangkok sounds good too..but dunno whether my parents will allow..
so when can we go to escape??? everyone sounds busy with work hall prductions holidaying etc..the hols are too short. we need to go out sooonnn...

my poor little fingers are totally shagged. i've been practicing so much i think they developed visible muscles!

anyway change og plans once again...i'm going penang.
everywhere is fully booked and we can't get tix so my parent decided to go penang to visit friends.

hey! realised that i havent been very consistent in blogging here.. bad.. i must blog more! anyway, today is the last day of exams for me! HAHA think i'm the last person to finish here. it's like, sherm and qianyi are already out of singapore and i was still freezing away in MPSH cracking my brains and writing an essay this afternoon. oh well.. at least we can all enjoy our holidays now (though beng's sch hols will start end of next week..) i guess all of us are in the christmas and holidaying mood (even food republic at vivo sings to the tune of JOY TO THE WORLD over and over)! for me, i'm supposed to get a job at a marketing company but it seems that the person has not contacted me to confirm the employment yet. yea anyway i'm feeling quite slack so even if i don't get the job, i'll be quite glad cos i've more time to rest those fats of mine :) talking about fats.. i think i really need to exercise man. amanda was suggesting today that we should go sentosa to sun tan. i agree! i'm getting whiter and paler by the day.. especially during exams period when i just shut myself in air-conditioned rooms the whole day. oh man.. need to start becoming more active leh! :( shall we go running or do some sports together?

okay.. think i'm quite tired.. need to sleep. just now on the train home i was already in the half-stone mode.. haha could tell from the way i walked in the mrt platforms. didn't know where i was going la.. and car and beng had to direct me. okay okay.. shall rest those burnt-out brain cells. till then.. take care everyone! we shall have more mahjong sessions/christmas parties!
